Blog Archiving

There have been some posts about where to find information. The blogger software automatically tracks blogs by the month posted.

Posts made in previous months can still be accessed, but you must click on the month listed on the lower right hand part of your screen.

There is also a search bar at the top of the screen. So, if you are interested in Route 7, type Route 7 in the search bar and it will show up in the results page.

I hope this answers some questions you might have.

Happy Blogging.

Mr. Phelps and all concerned,
I would like you all to consider extended the proposed bus route #1 to the East Side YMCA. This location is going to be a Bellevue hub with many walking trails that extend to ends of the county. Also consider the Bellin College going on that corner. Walking distance from the YMCA. Considering that Bellin nursing students are also UWGB and St. Norbert students, this makes great sense. I am willing to make changes in my walking habits to accomodate your ideas so in addition to the route extending to the East YMCA, I need you to consider bus stops on Mason Street. In my opinion, from Challenger in the I-43 Industrial park heading south to the East Town Mall, there is little opportunity to get a bus without being hit by a car/truck. If I send my 14 year there to ride the bus I expect it to be safe. Please address the Mason Street route changes and how you will make it safe.
Respectfully,

More thoughts. What about a plan to speak with Area business and make routes more purposeful. Smaller buses traveling more frequently.
Do you (management) talk with drivers? Check our Harvard Business Magazine and get a grip on running a business. Your drivers will help you be successful if given a chance.

How is the public going to be educated on what the route changes are or have been? I use the transit alot with a group and we pay good amount of money to ride. Where do i get this info about route changes? Do I have any input on what these changes are?

Thank you for the explanation of how to find posts on the blog. I don't know about others, but my problems were due to my naivete with blogs. Your explanation relieved my frustrations.

How about letting us riders know when these changes will go in effect? I have asked a couple different drivers, and have gotten different answers, one said October this year, another said next January. Those of us who use the buses to get to work need to know when these changes go in effect so we don't wind up being late or missing work!!

I've heard that there are service cuts coming to make up the budget shortfall due to the sky rocketing fuel prices. Any heads up as to what those cuts will be? After seeing the rise in fares in the Fox Valley I would venture to guess that we here will also see a rise in our bus fares. As someone who has to budget very carefully I need to know as soon as possible about any rise in the cost of a pass. Also if I need to change my work availability.

The Transit Commission will be taking action on the proposed 2009 Budget on 19 November 2008.

I will make a post following the meeting.
