Does the number 14 on the new proposed route go between east town mall and finger road on the outbound trip? (dental office)

When is the new route going to be effective? I will finally be able to take advantage of the transit system!

I don't care for this proposed Route 14 for it will not take me to my doctor's office which is on the other side of I43 on Voyager Drive. How I'm I to get there now? Also no East Town Mall?

To answer Sue's question: The Transit Commission approved a revised Route 1 earlier this year. The new Route 1 will service both East Town Mall and the I-43 Industrial Park, including the Hospital. Copy the following link in your browser. Then click on the link to the Prosposed Route 1.

Once approved, this route will become effective 30 August 2009.

To answer Marie's question: This route will not service East Town Mall nor Finger Road.

Please see my response about the revised Route 1 about service to East Town Mall. Unfortunately, there will be no direct service to Finger Road with Route 1.

So when is the new Route 1 supposed to start? Most people riding the current Edison Route 14 need to know. My driver only knows "sometime in August." More info, please!!

This route is proposed to begin on August 30, 2009. This is subject to Transit Commission approval on 15 July 2009.

what is up with the lack of service to grocery stores? Did anyone think of the elderly? how do they get their food? No service to East town mall - aldi's or walmart east. you're screwing the town!

Tom Wittig, Transit Director said...

There is service to East Town Mall. The #1 East Mason route will service this location. As for grocery stores, Metro routes provide many opportunities to shop. With the new Route 14, you will be able to shop at the Copps located at Lime Kiln and Allouez Avenue.

Updated Route 14 as of 08-24-09 link does not work!! I was told this route is no longer going to Copps/Target in Bellevue, and is now staying on Edgewood Drive to Walmart. If this is true, please post the new route map!! Passengers in the Edgewood Drive area need to know which route is going to work best for them--Route 1 or Route 14!

I have updated the link to show you the revised #14.
