Route 17 De Pere

Attached is a map for the Proposed Route 17: De Pere. This route combines portions of the former Routes 11 & 15 to provide local service in De Pere.

Due to timing issues and the ability to provide service to many destination in De Pere, the former Routes 11 & 15 needed to be changed.

This hour long route will connect with the proposed route 11 & 15 on Broadview. Route 17 will service many of the same locations as the former routes 11 & 15, as well as new destinations. New destinations include the De Pere Business Park, including door service to Humana, the retail complex on Scheuring Road, including the Wal-Mart Supercenter, and the Syble Hopp School.

when does this route leave broadview to reach west De Pere near comedy city to go out to ninth street? I work until 8:30 pm and need to get back to ninth street in De Pere.

Yes, is there any time table for this route as of yet and will it have an hourly schedule or one bus leaving at 15 after and another on a 45 after schedule during peak hours. This information is great but need times and how often it runs and how many busses are doing the loop.

You want ridership to go up but you don't make it very easy for someone to take the bus. If these proposals go through for 17, 15, & 11, how am I suppose to get from the 400 block of S Baird St in Green Bay to the 300 Block of N Broadway St in De Pere?

Does this bus go back to the Metro station? It's not too clear on the map.

This bus will circulate in De Pere only. In order to get to the Metro Station, you would have to transfer at Broadview and catch the 11/15 bus.

This route is very creative and very reasoable. This is what De Pere Residents have been asking for, within budgetary limitation and reason. This is a very good first step towards improving the De Pere/Allouez routes. Many comments were made concerning keeping the number 15 on Libal but also servicing De Pere's Walmart, Humana, and Syble Hopp. This proposed route not only keeps service on Libal, but also services these areas. There may be the flaw of being hourly but within the restrictions of De Pere's budget it is very reasonable until we are able to secure additional funds. I must commend GB Metro on designing a great first step and keeping a fair balanced and reasonable route that keeps all needs in mind.

What time does the Number 17 bus come past Comedy City (on Main St in West De Pere) going out bound in the evening? When is the last bus that goes past Comedy City (on Main St in West De Pere) going out bound on a week night?

I am glad to see that you are expanding the route within De Pere. Thank you!

I hope this proposed route goes through! I like to take the bus to UWGB but I live on the west side of De Pere and the nearest current stop to my house is a mile and a half to two miles away. If a stop is put at Scheuring Road and Lost Dauphin, my walk should only take me about 10 minutes! Thank you!

Is this route going to have 2 buses or just 1 bus? How are drivers going to get back downtown when they are done with their shifts if this route doesn't go to downtown

Why should I have to transfer to 2 different busses to get down to Metro. This is ridiculous!

where on Broadview will be the connection from 11/15 to the 17 route? when will the new route books be out?

what is the deal with the youth group call in and rates? One day the group rates and calls are allowed and the next they are not? Plus when Metro knows there is going to be large groups due to library trips they continue to keep on small busses even though large ones are available? I have tried to get an answer but know one is returning my calls and the answers I am getting down at metro are varied? All I want is to get this straightened out. Our group which is below the age should have been riding free (under 5) but nothing was ever mentioned. And this has been going on for years. Yeah It may sound naive BUT we were following a program set up by Green Bay metro!!!!

NOW OCTOBER, GUESS THIS BLOG IS USELESS - PREEY MUCH THE SAME AS THE NEW ROUTES. 17 IS RIDICULOUS AND 11/15 IS THE SAME, AS FOR THE OTHERS, WOULDN'T KNOW AS NEVER MAKE THE CONNECTIONS!

Hello I am really confuse about this route as I have never takne a De Pere bus yet. Do you take the 15 and then transfer to the 17, and if so will I be able to get back to Green bay the same way? I would greatly appreciate it someone could answer this question.
