Route 11: Allouez/De Pere

This route continues to serve the Green Bay, Allouez, and De Pere communities. This route changes once it reaches De Pere.

The route leaves the transit center and heads south on Webster. This bus continues south until it reaches De Pere and then heads west on George Street, crossing the bridge and continuing west along Main Street.

The bus will service the Festival Foods area and turn left and head south on Lawrence Drive. The bus will travel on Lawrence Drive until Grant Street. The bus will head east on Grant Street to Lost Dauphin Road. The bus will head north on Lost Dauphin Road back to Main Street, cross the bridge and head east on George to Webster Avenue. At this point, the bus will inbound to the transit center along the same path as the outbound bus.

Attached are maps of the current route and the proposed route.

Will this route still be going close to the Kress Library and Voyager Park? It appears to me that a number of routes seem to be changing that were taken by groups (daycares and preschools) that puts us out of reach from using the Metro system. The way I see it you are making quite a bit of money off these groups. many of us try very hard to assist the drivers in getting the children on and off the bus in a timely manner and have done this quite well. Is there a particular cliental that the city is trying to have use the system. I have heard from many drivers that their voices aren't heard in most of these descissions. Who better to listen to then the drivers who are driving day in and day out experiencing the problems you "speak" of. I believe that management better start looking out for what is best for the patronage and not what is going to make them (management) look good!!!
Please don't be so quick to change unless you look at the whole picture!
Sincerely,
A frequesnt user of the system

If you eliminate the #15, you need to have the #11 return on Libal. This will provide service to more people.
In fact most routes should not cover the same street when returning to the depot, although passengers may spend more time on the bus, you will be servicing more people and providing alternate transportation.
